Welcome: Megan Robison

GreenBlue is pleased to announce Megan Robison has joined the team as a How2Recycle Project Manager with the Sustainable Packaging Coalition.

What inspired you to work in the sustainability field?

I took a course in my Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering degree track at Georgia Tech called Bioprocesses Engineering that ignited my interest into the production of biopolymers like PHA and PLA. I started my career in masterbatch production with special projects focused on the development of these materials. Eventually, I went on to build on that knowledge while developing various types of sustainable packaging for major CPGs while working for a convertor. Adding sustainability as a pillar of packaging development alongside performance and cost is opening up a host of new opportunities for the industry to take a hard look at our current practices. In the end, the challenge of looking at packaging through a new lens is what inspires me to continue my work in sustainability.

What do you hope to achieve at GreenBlue?

I have been involved with the SPC for years as a member of the Executive Committee, a co-chair in the Mixed Paper Collaborative, and various other roles. I have always been drawn towards leading collaboration in the industry by bringing stakeholders together and solving problems for the supply chain as a whole. I hope to contribute to the great work Greenblue is doing in this space.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love being in nature! Whether I am gardening, hiking, biking, or kayaking, you will usually find me outside. I also love live music, plant-based cooking, and exploring new cities.

Happiness is…

Growing good food in my garden.
